A family of coyotes made KTLA last week after moving into an abandoned multiunit complex in West Hollywood. But they were already well known to neighborhood resident and reporter Degen Pener, who’d been keeping tabs on them from nearby — on a recent night, he said, “I woke up because I heard the coyotes howling" — while working on today’s story for L.A.
