SHE WAS AMONG THE MOST read — and in some quarters, despised — journalists in Hollywood.
Nikki Finke lorded over the internet of the late aughts and mid-2010s, pairing scoops and acid-sharp commentary with a blend of swagger, verve and occasional cruelty. She had deep sources and signature zingers, with "TOLDJA!" as a favorite — deployed to crow that she had the inside track on the machinations of Tinseltown.
Finke died in 2022. She had no children. Alongside the bruised egos of those she covered, her legacy also includes a lesser-known work: an unpublished book that features her telling of Hollywood history, particularly the rise of talent agencies like Creative Artists Agency and the former ICM Partners (now part of CAA).
