Mosquitos, rats, termites and fleas are taking L.A.
L.A.’s hottest government agency right now is undoubtedly the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District, which monitors mosquitoes, black flies and non-biting midges. (I always read their website www.glamosquito.org as glam mosquito 💅.)
They’ve been busy fielding questions from journalists and content creators alike who are concerned that we are seeing a significant uptick in mosquito activity. Rightly, it turns out: The mosquito population this year is running at least 30% above the five-year average.
